The Intention Preserve

the fragile egos feed
on images of heroism
and acts of goodness
(the groundskeeper smiles
at the the well-fed identities
as he looks over them
biding his time
at the intention preserve)

at the intention preserve
continuity is sacred
things follow other things
and accomplishments prevail
for what would otherwise be
a planet full of crazies
should they too soon
dissolve the self

what is it to me
(says groundskeeper to self)
that so many thrive on lies
while slowly finding the courage
to off and dissapear
