I was on a track team
in high school in Alabama
running the mile relay
with four other guys

my name is Benjamin
(in 1973 it was Benny)
and we were called
Benny and the Jets

and we rocked

last week
(thirty seven years later)
one of those guys
found me on Facebook

the internet
is a trip
