You Think Life Is A Battle

your will is strong
because your trust is weak

you are aggressive and clever
(willingness over time)
I know you by your insistence

threatened by my honesty
(willingness right now)
your best bet you believe
is to scare me
before I get the chance
to scare you

your weapons are fear and tactics
whereas the peacemaking tools
that live through me are truth,
patience, spontaneity,
and your attraction to the peace
you now witness in me

I trust your fear of me
for I understand
it can not be otherwise
