Good Morning Friend

this morning
outside a coffee shop
this small delicate bird
hops along the patio
searching for tidbits

for whatever reason
it reminds me
that I have you
to share things with

something
that makes it
all worthwhile

I want to say
"thank you"
without words
in the silence
that follows
this poem
